What’s Next? is designed so your schedule stays on your device. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

What the app stores, and where

Your Canvas calendar feed URL is saved in the iOS Keychain on your device.
Your class schedule (course names, meeting times, and the building/room numbers you enter) is parsed from that feed and stored on your device, in a container shared only with the app’s own Home Screen widget and Live Activity.
Your preferences (theme, clock format, reminder settings, course colours) are stored on your device.

None of this is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

Network activity

The app connects to one address: the Canvas calendar feed URL you provide. It downloads that calendar file over HTTPS to keep your schedule current. The app contacts no other servers, and the developer operates no backend for it.

What the app does not do

No account, sign-in, or profile.
No analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
No collection of your name, email, contacts, location, or device identifiers.
No selling or sharing of data, because none is collected.

Notifications

If you enable pre-class reminders (a Premium feature), notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification content leaves your device.

Purchases

What’s Next? Premium is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes the transaction and your payment information; the developer never receives it. The developer receives only Apple’s standard aggregated sales and payout reports, which do not identify individual customers. Apple’s handling of your data is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change and the revised policy will be posted at this URL.
